Back to Art Work

Much of my series work is done in an Art Nouveau, Art Deco or vintage advertising style. I chose to use these styles because there is so much beautiful illustration out there and I appreciate graphic styles. I also think that using advertising and propaganda styles to represent religious or spiritual ideas is interesting.  Religious ideology has created negative feelings and has a less than flattering reputation for using propaganda to manipulate the faithful and unfaithful. Yet commercial advertising is an accepted part of our lives. The use of a graphic style in these series allows me as the artist to present each characteristic or idea in a cohesive voice, and my intention is to have a positive result.
