Three Fish

watercolor 18x24 2007-private collection
This piece is available as a
limited edition print and in note cards.

In this piece, the woman is taken from Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel.  The fish are symbols of Christ and the three represents the Trinity as well. The bread represents Christ's humanity and His body.  The grapes represent salvation through Christ's blood.  So, she, like us is surrounded by Christ (fish) and covered by His promise and sacrifice (bread and grapes).
