As a woman, I have heard too many times, out of the mouths of both men and women, "She's asking for it." I can guarantee you that we are NOT.
The threat of violence implicit in “She’s asking for it” is disturbing. Women should be able to walk around in their daily lives, however they would like, without the threat of violence, implied or otherwise. We are not responsible for other’s violent actions/choices/words.
